This course is designed for the
person looking for advanced technical skills of combat style shotguns.
You must have completed and
passed the two day Defensive Shotgun class.
In this course you will review:
| * | marksmanship, |
| * | safety, |
| * | shotgun mounting, |
| * | loading and unloading, |
| * | four ways of carry with a sling, |
| * | shotgun equipment, |
| * | patterning bird and buck shot to 25 yards, |
In this course you will learn:
| * | shooting slugs at 75 yards, |
| * | shooting multiple targets, |
| * | snap shooting with slugs, |
| * | tactical live fire entrance/exit in a room (day/night), |
| * | shooting on the move, |
| * | turning movements, and |
| * | scrambler run 100 to 150 yards with team movement. |
marking cartridges will be used on entries.
Equipment required:
| * | Combat style shotgun (18" barrel recommend), |
| * | Sling, |
| * | 500 rounds of "00" buck, |
| * | 150 rounds of slugs, |
| * | Shoulder pad, if desired, |
| * | Eye protection (dark & clear glasses), |
| * | Ear protection, |
| * | Elbow & knee pads, |
| * | Sunscreen, |
| * | Jacket and/or rain gear, and |
| * | Hat with visor. |
