This course is for the
beginner who has had some basic experience with guns or the experienced shooter
looking for basic combat pistol skills. This two day course will familiarize
you with the handgun you are using and under professional instruction give you a
working knowledge of basic combat skills. By the end of the course you will be
able to use your weapon safely and be able to attain a basic level of
marksmanship and combat skill.
If you do not already
own a pistol you should enroll in Basic Pistol.
In this course you will learn:
| * | marksmanship, |
| * | safety, |
| * | proper draw from the holster, |
| * | loading and unloading, |
| * | combat and tactical loading and unloading, |
| * | malfunctions, |
| * | shooting positions, |
| * | shooting on the move, and |
| * | turning and tactical movements. |
Equipment required:
| * | Pistol of .38 caliber or better, |
| * | Belt and holster, |
| * | Ammunition (minimum 750 rounds), |
| * | Minimum three magazines, |
| * | Eye protection (dark & clear glasses), |
| * | Ear protection, |
| * | Elbow & knee pads, |
| * | Sunscreen, |
| * | Jacket and/or rain gear, and |
| * | Hat with visor. |
