Designed for the
novice and experienced shooter seeking basic precision rifle skills.
This is a four day
course. In this course you will learn:
| * | optics, |
| * | trajectory, |
| * | estimating wind and range, |
| * | shooting positions, |
| * | manipulating the rifle and trigger control, |
| * | using a sling, |
| * | rifle modifications and accessories, |
| * | zeroing the rifle, |
| * | low-light shooting, and |
| * | developing a ballistic table for your rifle. |
You will learn and practice the following drills:
| * | rifle zero and ballistic table development (0-400 yards), |
| * | rifle ten, |
| * | rifle bounce, |
| * | snapshots, and |
| * | scrambler. |
Prerequisites: None
Equipment required:
| * | Scoped rifle with sling, |
| * | Match grade ammunition (minimum 500 rounds), |
| * | Shooting mat, |
| * | Loose, comfortable clothing, |
| * | Eye protection (dark & clear glasses), |
| * | Ear protection, |
| * | Elbow & knee pads, |
| * | Flashlight, |
| * | Sunscreen, |
| * | Jacket and/or rain gear, and |
| * | Hat with visor. |
